DOUBLE ENDED PLLA - Silhouette and Silhouette-like threads

PLLA , poly L lactic acid, is a well-known stimulator of collagen.

Double ended threads are much longer than PDO threads. They have a needle at both ends, which means that they can be implanted to give an anchor point from which the pull originates. The lifting effect comes from the cone-shaped, or barbed arrangement along the length of the thread. Silhouette Soft was the original double-ended thread but there are now many versions, each with their own benefits. Double ended threads achieve more of a lift but their insertion can be a bit more invasive with the recovery time a bit longer.
