Our Ethos
Health and beauty
We all feel more comfortable when we are pleased with what we see in the mirror. Beauty can be quantified. Facial balance and symmetry, brow shape, lip size, volume and curves all partake in the assessment of "beauty".
Perfect, unblemished, skin is a sign of both beauty and health. A smooth, soft, firm, plump, glowing skin with even pigmentation supported by a firm framework of muscles constitutes healthy skin and reflects the condition of the individual inside.
Fast fixes, long-term treatments
Many cosmetic treatments are "fast-fixes" – so-called lunch-time treatments that can take years off or enhance features. Frown-freezing, injectable fillers for lines, lips and volume are all offered at the clinic.
Skin-perfecting techniques can revitalise the skin at all levels, ensuring longer-term skin health and beauty. We have treatments that suit all skin types and personal preferences; light or laser-based treatments, peeling and injections can all help depending on your particular requirements.
Volumising techniques, now understood to be the mainstay of anti-ageing and beauty routines, can be performed as a fast-fix or a longer-term project. A fast-fix can be maintained by longer lasting procedures thus ensuring the best possible results.
Looking beyond the face
An ideal body weight with normal fat distribution is equally important. A blemish-free body is important for the gym and the beach. We can help with these.
Maintenance
Because we are ageing all the time, these sophisticated treatments should be considered as standard maintenance, just like going to the dentist, the gym and the hairdresser. In this way we never need to entertain surgery, just look great with every changing year. We can help you look good for your age and younger than your true age.
Not just cosmetic
Our face is our window on the world. Cosmetic medicine is not just cosmetic – it is anti-ageing and preventative. It improves self-esteem and elevates mood. It offers hope, especially in the treatment of scars. It removes unpleasant or unwanted stigmata, such as facial hair or deformity. Cosmetic medicine is also an essential treatment for many psychological disturbances such as low self-esteem and the aftermath of trauma, bereavement, severe illness and emotional trauma.
Typical ages of clients
Am I too old for treatment? Am I too young for treatment? When should I start botox? These are all common questions that we are asked. The answer is, "No, not at all" We are never too young or too old for treatment. Providing that your request is reasonable and that we are not doing you any harm, you may be treated. Many of our treatments are for disease; acne, stretch marks, scars and rosacea, so age does not come into the equation. Of course we can treat you. Younger people choose peeling, acne treatments, treatments for stretch marks, cellulite and weight problems.
Likewise, we are never too old. We still feel the same person inside, but look a little older on the outside. Older people need volumising treatments such as Voluma and Sculptra, treatments for the frown area and skin revitalisation. Providing that you are in good health and the treatment is suitable, then you can be treated. Our oldest client is 96!
Most people request prevention as well as cure, and we perform diagnostic Mole Mate as well as many maintenance treatments.
Sustainability
We are in the era of sustainability. We want to be responsible for our actions on the world at large; home to millions of people. As doctors and therapists we have a responsibility to the environment and to the people that live in our world. Whilst you indulge yourself in the luxurious treatment, you can relax in the knowledge that you have not acted irreverently or irresponsibly to others on the globe.
