Lycogel

Lycogel is a healing concealer with SPF 30. It contains a patented but secret ingredient that accelerates the healing of skin after cosmetic procedures. It promotes collagen production, protects from sun damage and smoothes irritated skin. Available in all skin colours, Lycogel is easily applied and stays on all day. Lycogel covers all but the nastiest of bruises.

Susan Posnick mineral make-up

Mineral make-up is naturally sun-protective (SPF 15), light to wear and oil- absorbent. The mineral particles reflect light, enhancing your features, bringing light and dimension to your face and flattering you much more than classical make-up products. This is why we have chosen it for you, and why we see every high street name is ensuring that they, too, have a mineral-based make-up line.

Therapeutic cosmetic (cosmeceutical) products

Ingredients applied to the skin will penetrate the skin to reach the lower layers. They naturally penetrate through the pores and the hair follicles, and because of their sophisticated formulation can penetrate the skin itself; the upper stratum corneum and beyond. This means that you can continue to take care of your skin at home by using the recommended creams, cleansers and other therapeutic agents.

Skinceuticals

An American brand that is probably one of the most commonly stocked in Cosmetic Clinics and pharmacies. Skinceuticals specialises in delivering powerful and innovative anti-oxidants through the skin in order to prevent, protect and repair the skin.

Their 0,5% retinol cream is a true anti-ageing product that rebuilds collagen and should be included in all anti-ageing skin care routines.

MENE AND MOY

The original Vitamin C and peeling support products. Created by Dr Romulo Mene many years ago, these products are based on Vitamin C, glycolic acid, phytic acid, Vitamin E and A – all the bog-standard ingredients for prevention and repair.

Dermaceutic

Created by the French, dermaceutic is a sophisticated range that also contains glycolic acid, vitamin C, E and A. Their K-ceutic is great for post-peeling and repair since it features an SPF 40 as well as vitamin C, E and soothing ingredients. It is also a light green colour to camouflage redness.

Avène

World-renowned super brand based on the silica rich mineral waters from central France from which the name is derived; Avène. Avène specialises in hypoallergenic products that soothe and repair. Great for post-procedure, babies and children. Avène’s sunblock range are affordable and provide the necessary protection. They are medically proven.

Avène’s anti-ageing Istheal contains retinaldehyde. This is the absorbed form of retinol. Although affordable, it is powerful.

Heliocare

We include the Heliocare in our Dermaroller recovery pack, but it is so good, slightly tinted and well tolerated that we sell is separately. It is probably not polite to describe it as cheap and cheerful but that’s what it is – a really lovely light, non-dragging wearable sunblock SPF 50. It also comes as a SPF 90 and is equally light on the skin.
